Early WSA contributor dies

Serena Lesley, one of the first contributors to WSA, has died aged 89.

After an illustrious 24-year career as fashion editor of The Daily Telegraph, she moved from London to Portland, Oregon, in the mid-1980s after marrying the manager of an ocean-front hotel in Washington state.

Being based close to Portland and Beaverton was an advantage for the fledgling magazine in 1995 when WSA was founded and Serena Lesley helped provide WSA with access to the host of sports brands based in the area.
