Skiwear is €250 million market in France

Specialist market research company NPD Group has said the ski apparel market in France had an annual value of €250 million in 2015.

Ski jackets (not including down jackets) contribute 40% of the value, the company said, accessories such as socks, hats and gloves contribute 29%, trousers 13% and baselayer garments 5%.

NPD said the skiwear market is more geared towards women and children than sportswear in general. Childrenswear made up 22% of the French total and womenswear 36% and menswear 42%.
