Treksta launches new winter boot collection for women

Outdoor footwear maker Treksta has unveiled a new collection of winter boots for women, combining, the Vancouver-based brand claimed, fit, function and style for winter.

The new collection, Artica, offers a series of features Treksta has used previously including its NestFIT last, HyperGrip IceLock outsoles and hands-free fastening technology. The uppers are made from suede and incorporate membrane technology to offer greater moisture resistance.

Treksta’s sales director, Rob McCurdy, said at the time of the launch: “We’re extremely excited about the Artica line, which offers women a range of warm, comfortable and supportive options for making the most of their time outdoors in winter’s cold conditions.”

NestFIT is a construction system that unites last, insole, midsole and outsole to “cradle the feet and support them in a natural position”, Treksta has said, claiming that this enhances comfort and “prevents muscle fatigue”. Built from the scans of over 20,000 human feet, NestFIT produces an “anatomically correct fitting shoe, which also incorporates a sulcus crest, a slight ridge at the back of the toes for additional support”.

HyperGrip IceLock outsoles incorporate tiny glass particles in “thoughtfully placed lugs” to increase surface area and enhance traction on wet and icy surfaces.
