Südwolle and Safil show off first joint collection of yarns

The first combined Südwolle Group-Safil collection of weaving and circular knitting yarns for autumn-winter 2017-2018 made its debut at the 45th Filo in Milan (March 2-3). It is the result of Südwolle’s acquisition of Safil, which was announced in October 2015.

The collection offers 380 articles belonging to two categories: weaving yarns (which include lines called Classic, Innovation, Luxury and Fancy) and the circular knitting yarns collection (with the Classic, Innovation and Organic lines).

Among the new ideas that generated most interest at Filo was the Organic line of yarns made with GOTS and IVN Best certified wools, and Bluesign-certified production processes. The yarns are in pure silk and pure wool with Naturetexx Plasma treatment (a chlorine-free technology for machine washable merino that uses electricity and air).
