PU coating breakthrough from Dry-Tex

Textile resource and garment production specialist Concept III has on display at Outdoor Retailer Summer Market a product it describes as “a new high-performance, eco-friendly, ultralight coating technology expressly for featherweight fabrics”.

The technology, from partner company Dry-Tex, a China-based textile and lamination specialist, is a water-based PU coating system that supplies ultra-light drapability, air permeability, water transfer, down-proofing and wind-block performance on even the lightest of stretch wovens and knits, Concept III said at the start of Outdoor Retailer, adding that the technology is “totally green”.

 Dry-Tex has manufacturing facilities in Shaoxing, near Shanghai. It has been working with Concept III since 2013 and became a Bluesign partner in June 2016.
