Première Vision names winners of PV awards

The winners of the 8th PV awards, which are organised by the Première Vision sourcing event, have been named.

The judging panel, led by Olivier Gabet, Director of the Musées des Arts Décoratifs, selected 6 winners in total, 3 for fabrics and 3 for leather, the second time the latter category has been included.

The Grand Jury Prize for fabrics, which celebrates the “most outstanding, symbolic and pertinent fabric and leather of the season” went to Indian lace specialists Ventures.

The Imagination Prize for fabrics, commending the “boldest, most original, most amazing fabric and leather in terms of decoration, technique, finishing, innovation and technology”, was awarded to UK-based Henri Portier/Bennett Silks.

The Handle Prize for fabrics, awarded for the “fabric and leather allying the most astonishing tactile and behavioural qualities, those with the strongest emotional impact” went to Luxury Jersey in Italy.

In the leather category, Dileather in India received the Grand Jury Prize, the Imagination Prize went to the Anil Tannery in Turkey and Japan’s Sakamoto Corporation received the Handle Prize.
