The twin sisters were exploring designs using just up-cycled and sustainable fabrics. They were inspired by the BMWi range of electric vehicles.
The metallic grey skater dress took over 100 hours to make and is 97% carbon. The fibres were produced at the same plant that makes the material for the BMW i8 in Moses Lake, US.
“The carbon fabrics are amazing and unlike anything we’ve used before – we are honoured to be given access to them before anyone else,” said Daniele Felder. "The woven fibre allows us to do more with the designs and push the boundaries of sustainable fashion.”
