Functional Lab to feature again at Intertextile Shanghai
The 2016 edition of the Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics exhibition will take place in the Chinese city from October 11-13 with the National Exhibition and Convention Center, close to Hongqiao airport as the venue.

Organiser, Messe Frankfurt, has said the event will once again include a special Functional Lab feature, following a successful debut in 2015. It said this special zone will be part of the event again to help textile companies cope with growing demands for high-performance fabrics.

The Functional Lab zone will showcase a wide range of fabrics, fibres and yarns that can offer apparel manufacturers and brands increased durability, elasticity, waterproofness, windproofness, thermo-regulation, high thermal conductivity and moisture wicking.

Exhibitors from China, Hong Kong, Israel, Japan, Korea, Taiwan and the US will participate. Invista, the Korea Outdoor & Sports Industry Association (KOIA) and the Taiwan Textile Federation (TTF) will each host a pavilion inside the zone.
