Intertextile Shanghai is up and running
The autumn 2016 edition of Intertextile Shanghai opened its doors on October 11, hosting almost 4,600  exhibitors from 29 countries and regions. More than 1,100 international exhibitors were located in two of the halls at the new National Exhibition and Convention Centre, near Shanghai’s Hongqiao airport.

For the second time, the exhibition includes a Functional Lab section, hosting manufacturers of performance textiles from China, Hong Kong, Israel, Japan and Korea, as well as companies from Europe and North America.

Organiser Messe Frankfurt’s senior general manager, Wendy Wen, said at the start of the event: “After 22 years, Intertextile Shanghai has become one of the global textile industry’s most comprehensive trade and communications platforms.”

At the corresponding edition in 2015, there were 4,642 exhibitors in total and 66,256 buyers from 97 countries and regions.
