Outdoor brand takes advantage of new eVent membrane

Outdoor apparel brand Flylow has incorporated a new waterproof membrane technology from eVent fabrics into some of its products.

The DVexpedition technology from eVent will be used in Flylow’s Lab Coat and Compound Pant from its Autumn/Winter 2017-18 range.

“Flylow takes performance seriously. By adopting eVent DVexpedition into next winter’s line up, they’ve chosen to ensure that the most dedicated skiers will be comfortable in any and all conditions,” said Chad Kelly, director of sales for eVent fabrics.

The technology is eVent’s newest Direct Venting (DV) durable, air permeable and waterproof membrane. It is designed for skiers and outdoor enthusiasts. It uses direct venting technology to allow body heat and water vapour to easily pass through, which keeps the wearer dry and comfortable.

Dan Abrams, co-founder of Flylow, said: “The Lab Coat and Compound Pant are designed from the ground up for the skier who wants to hit everything, every day. This hard-charging and super air permeable kit delivers a Flylow level of true toughness and waterproofness.”

eVent has recently released a series of new waterproof and air permeable membranes and fabrics. Its DValpine membrane offers all-weather protection and high breathability for a wide range of activities. The DVstorm membrane is designed for extra breathability in lightweight waterproof shells. It is suitable for high energy activities such as climbing, hiking, running and cycling, the company says.
