Gymnastics champion shows off merino’s appeal for Chinese women

The campaign, entitled ‘Her Era, Her Power’, opened with an exhibition of photographs in Beijing of clothing made from Australian-grown merino by prominent Chinese fashion brands. Ms Liu was part of a group of what the organisers referred to as “China’s most inspiring women”. Her photograph at the exhibition shows her in a black, merino wool dress from Shanghai-based fashion brand Icicle.
Liu Xuan won a leading member of China’s gymnastics team at the 2000 Olympics in Sydney and won gold for her performance on the balance beam. Since retiring from competition, she has successfully launched a new career in acting and singing.
