C&A explores future of fashion

Dutch clothing chain C&A has hosted an event in the Brazilian city of São Paulo dedicated to finding new items of wearable technology.

It took place of December 10 and 11 to coincide with the 40th anniversary of the company’s presence in Brazil. 

The theme of the event was the future of fashion with 40 participants, including software developers and clothing designers, taking part. They were split into small teams and challenged to come up with items of wearable technology that could be mass produced and sold under the C&A brand. 

The participants had access to the latest technology and clothing components, allowing them to build prototypes of their ideas. They could also call on the knowledge and expertise of the fashion and technology specialists in attendants.
