Salomon bolsters footwear team
Mountain sports brand Salomon has appointed Guillaume Meyzenq as vice president of its footwear division.

Mr Meyzenq has worked at Salomon since 1996. His most recent role was as vice president of commercial footwear.

In his new position, he will be responsible for innovation, product marketing, design, development, sourcing and sales for Salomon’s entire footwear business. He will also offer support to company president Jean-Marc Pambet, who also serves as president of footwear for Amer Sports, which owns the Salomon brand.

“Guillaume has delivered strong contributions to footwear projects during the past eight years, gathering the required competencies and leadership to take on this new responsibility,” Mr Pambet said.

Mr Meyzenq expressed his delight at being appointed to the role. He revealed that Salomon is aiming to grow its strong reputation in the trail running category, expand its road running offering, and evolve its hiking and mountaineering ranges.
