Indian group to make Fruit of the Loom clothing under licence

Indian textile group Rupa has announced that it will begin to produce garments for the local market under licence from the Fruit of the Loom brand.

Rupa has told Indian media that it sees brand licensing as an important vehicle for its growth and expansion. It said it aims to have Indian-made Fruit of the Loom clothing on sale in around 30,000 shops across the country in the course of the next five years.
