Textiles India 2017 to welcome international visitors

The event, which will take place in the city of Gandhinagar, will be inaugurated by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The organisers have said it provides a platform to connect global manufacturers, investors and buyers from the textile industry. They expect visitors from 25 countries.
A key aim of Textiles India 2017 is to promote India as a global sourcing hub and investment destination. It will explore the potential for growth in the technical textiles sector and examine the productivity and product diversification challenges facing natural fibres. There will also be discussion of opportunities to increase the production of man-made fibres in India.
