Camangi extends Umorfil range to nylon 6

09/08/2017
Taiwanese company Camangi has continued the development of its Umorfil fibre product range with the creation of a new nylon-based fibre.

The fibre, which it has called Umorfil N6U, is made by bonding collagen peptides from recycled fish scales with nylon 6.

Camangi has said the new fibre has a range of benefits, including comfortable feel, odour control and good moisture management. It adds that it also has “high dye capability” at low temperatures, which means a lower environmental impact.

Umorfil will provide more details on the development at the Première Vision exhibition in Paris (September 19-21).
