Patagonia opens its only UK store

Outdoor brand Patagonia has opened a new shop in central Manchester, saying the store will be “a hub for sports and environmental communities in the area”. The brand says this reflects a wider commitment “to deepen direct relationships” with these communities.

This opening brings the total number of Patagonia retail stores across Europe to eight, and the brand stocked in over 1,200 multi-brand stores there. However, this latest edition will be the company’s only own-brand store in the UK.

Located in King Street in the centre of the city, the three-storey retail outlet, covering more than 300 square-metres in total, carries apparel for climbing, skiing, snowboarding, trail running, surfing and fly fishing and also has a space dedicated to events, film screenings and public talks.
