Industry associations seek feedback on impact of digitalisation
18/01/2018
The survey forms part of the Erasmus+ project ‘Digital TCLF 2025’, which was set up at the start of 2017. It is led by five project partners: CEC, the European Textile and Apparel Confederation (Euratex), European Union leather industry body COTANCE, trade union organisation industriAll, and Spin360.
The aim of the project is to help the different sectors benefit from digitalisation opportunities. With the help of industry experts, the project partners have identified nine emerging occupations which are predicted to be required in TCLF companies in the coming years.
They have launched this survey in order to forecast which of these occupations will be in highest demand in the near future. They are seeking input from companies, associations, educational and training centres, educational and training centres, trade unions and representatives from other sectors to help validate the relevance of the identified digital occupations.
The results of the survey will lead to the development of adequate training programmes designed to provide workers with the necessary skills, knowledge and competences, and to ensure companies in the TCLF sectors make the best use of digitalisation to keep innovating and growing.
Responses to the survey can be submitted until January 25. It can be accessed here.
