Marmot announces big changes in Europe

Outdoor brand Marmot is to relocate its European headquarters from Schwaig, near Nuremberg, Germany to Hattersheim, near Frankfurt. 

The brand’s activities in Europe will now be taken over by its sister company Coleman EMEA. Marmot’s parent company, Newell Brands, is also located in Hattersheim. This move concentrates all Newell’s brand operations in the same place.

Marmot also announced that its managing director for Europe, Andreas Schimeck will leave his position. He has played a vital role in building up the brand’s European business since 2003, but will now be replaced by Jan Schapmann, previously Marmot’s European marketing and sales director.
