09/02/2018
Parx Plastics has brought to market a new co-polymer based on its Saniconcentrate product. It is suitable for extrusion and, at a 3% share of the material mix, will be effective in protecting against bacteria such as E.coli and Staphylococcus aureus, the company has said.

A Dutch-Italian joint venture, Parx Plastics was set up five years ago as a specialist developer of antibacterial plastic technology.

In 2014, the European Commission named it as one of the top tech start-ups in Europe. Later the same year it was named as one of the winners at the World Technology Awards in New York.

At the end of last year it announced a new joint-venture in China called Ningbo Parx New Materials, which will have a production facility at the new Sino-Italy Ecological Park in the Yangtze River Delta.
