Fair Wear Foundation appoints new executive director

Fair Wear Foundation (FWF), the Amsterdam-based campaign group that works to improve labour conditions in the garment industry, has appointed Alexander Kohnstamm as its new executive director.

Mr Kohnstamm joins FWF from the position of director of external affairs at PharmAccess Foundation, an organisation dedicated to connecting more people in Sub-Saharan Africa to better healthcare. Before that, he was the executive director of Partos, a Dutch platform for development organisations.

Before his career in the development sector, he worked as a marketing manager at Sony Europe and at the Mitsubishi Group.
