Go Sport could open up to 80 stores in India

Retail group Go Sport has signed an agreement with a local partner in India to open as many as 80 stores there between now and 2023. The Indian stores would comprise 40 under the group’s Go Sport banner and 40 under its Courir running banner. It aims to open the first of these in the first quarter of 2019.

Commenting on the development, group president, André Segura, said: “With the rise of the middle classes in India, the market there is experiencing new demand for products that promote health and  wellbeing. Sports are a marvellous response to this

Go Sport launched in France in the 1970s and currently has 140 stores across its home country, more than 30 stores in Poland and a further 40 in other countries around the world.
