Kendal Mountain Festival kicks off UK roadshow
The Kendal Mountain Festival, which takes place every November in the UK town of the same name, is hitting the road in 2018, with events being organised across the UK over the coming months.

The 16-destination tour will take in venues in England, Scotland and Wales. It gets underway in the Welsh town of Caernarfon on February 22 and will culminate with a finale event at the Brewery Arts Centre in Kendal on June 8.

Each event will feature award-winning films, first-hand accounts from explorers and competitions, with prizes including a weekend trip to the Kendal Mountain Festival in November. There will be two adventurers at each stop of the tour, who will offer inspirational stories about journeys they have taken.

Among the speakers lined up are adventurer and writer Anna McNuff, polar explorer Ben Saunders, kayaker Bren Orton, ultra-runner Damian Hall, climber Greg Boswell, endurance cyclist Markus Stitz, and ocean rower Olly Hicks.
