Algix offers new anti-microbial treatment for textiles

On announcing the new product, Algix said Genesis is safe, durable and environmentally responsible.
“Our technology colourless, odourless and does not impact the tactile finish of the textile,” said chief technology officer, Ryan Hunt, at the time of the announcement. “Over the past year we’ve worked hard to create for footwear and apparel brands an all-natural, affordable solution that provides odour-, stain- and microbial-defence.”
He added that the new technology is free from silver-based chemicals, saying that, instead, Genesis is “powered by oxygen and activated by water”. It can be applied at the fabric mill as part of existing manufacturing processes.
