New helmet will make road cyclists safer and faster, POC promises

POC created the helmet, the Ventral, in partnership with professional cycling team EFD, whose riders will wear it for the first time in a competitive race at the Paris-Nice event in March. The manufacturer has said the Ventral will deliver benefits in aerodynamics, ventilation, safety and weight.
Chief executive of POC, Jonas Sjögren, said: “We wanted to push our ideas further and develop a ventilated aero helmet that would give significant speed gains to a rider and further improve safety.”
