New Poron product from Rogers

Retaining the memory of its original shape, Poron Embrace rebounds between steps as it cradles and adapts to the contours of the foot.
For years, Rogers said on announcing the new product, footwear designers have struggled with the limitations of memory foams that “attract consumers with initial comfort but collapse quickly due to their low resistance to compression set”. After a short period of use, these foams permanently mould to the shape of the foot, resulting in a loss of cushioning to “critical pressure areas” like the heel and ball of the foot, it added.
In contrast, it claimed, Poron Embrace returns to its original shape and adapts as the foot moves and changes shape throughout the day’s activities, delivering “long-lasting durability and comfort”. In addition, the material’s open-cell structure provides lightweight breathability keeping feet cooler, dryer and more comfortable.
