Outdoor equipment brand makes strategic appointment

Korean-based outdoor equipment brand Helinox has announced expansion at its European subsidiary, Helinox Europe BV. The initiative will be led by Andrew Shand as chief executive of the  European business, with Sally McCoy serving as executive chairman of the board.

Andrew Shand will join Helinox on July 1 from Vista Outdoor, the group that owns CamelBak. He also has a role at aluminium tubing manufacturer Donagh Aluminium Corporation, which produces material that Helinox uses to make products such as camping equipment and walking poles.

Helinox chief executive, Young Lah, said the company is planning to develop “meaningful new products that will surprise and delight our customers”.
