Cellular materials manufacturer Zotefoams is to invest an initial £23 million to build a new foam manufacturing site in central Europe. When it comes on stream in 2020, it will be the third factory devoted to making the company’s polyolefin foams and will increase production capacity by around 20%.

Zotefoams other plants are in Croydon, near London, and in Kentucky.

On making the announcement, chief executive, David Stirling, said: “With continuing growth in demand anticipated from a variety of market sectors we believe that now is the time to invest in additional capacity to supplement that already coming on stream in our UK and US factories.”
