Developer of ‘smart’ yoga pants seeks funding

Sportstextiles.com first reported on the product in June 2017. The pants feature woven-in motion sensors at the hips, knees and ankles. They are able to assess the wearer’s posture and send small pulses to the areas where adjustment is required.
The product can be connected to a smart phone and is powered by a lightweight battery that is clipped into a fitting about the knee.
Wearable X is seeking just under £38,000 in funding for its project. Backers can pledge as little or as much as they wish, but as with all Kickstarter campaigns the company is offering rewards for certain levels of pledge.
These include early bird access to the Nadi X yoga pants, a place on a three-day yoga retreat and an opportunity to spend the day with members of the Wearable X team learning about how the product is made.
At the time of writing, the project had received funding of just under £5,000 from 25 backers, with 25 days of the campaign remaining.
