25/06/2018
With support from campaign group the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, the University of Exeter hosted the first international academic symposium on the circular economy in mid-June. The event took place at a new global centre for the circular economy at the university.

Representatives of 33 universities from 25 different countries attended to reflect on current circular economy research and discuss future innovation opportunities and challenges. The foundation said the symposium represented “a significant step towards establishing the circular economy as an area of academic study”.
