Dow and Mondial Suole combine to create new soling range for hiking shoes

Enerlyte polyurethane (PU) elastomer from Dow Chemical is an essential component of the soles in the iTen range, enabling features including lightness, high energy-return, soft touch and durability. As a water-blown PU soling system, Enerlyte also ensures these soles are environment friendly.
Mondial Suole chief executive, Gianfranco Doria, said on announcing the new range: “This is the result of major investment in research and development, human resources and equipment, as well as the result of the constant collaboration with Dow, an historical partner of the Mondial group.”
For his part, Akil Sahiwala, Dow Polyurethanes marketing manager for the footwear segment, said: “Our goal is to continue delivering high-quality sustainable materials and tailored solutions for our customers to gain competitive advantage in a rapidly evolving industry.”
