Fabric and material development at the core of POC innovations
Swedish protective clothing and equipment brand POC has announced a number of innovations that it will have on display at Eurobike 2018 (July 8-10) in Friedrichshafen.

Among these is a new helmet called Omne Air SPIN, with enhanced crash-protection features, including POC’s patent-pending impact protection system, SPIN. The helmet also features a slimmer profile.

There is also the VPD System Torso, a new back and chest protection system with high levels of protection, ventilation and comfort. It will not interfere with riding in any conditions, POC has said, especially as body heat moulds the protection to the rider’s body shape, but will harden on impact in the event of a collision or fall.

New VPD system knee and elbow protectors offer similar levels of protection and comfort.

On announcing the new products, chief executive, Jonas Sjögren, said: “We have used our extensive experience in fabric and material development to challenge conventional thinking even further. The materials and design in our new VPD knee, elbow and torso protection systems are a perfect example of what we believe should be at the forefront of protection thinking.”
