Adventurer of the Year takes up sock design

In 2011, Jennifer Pharr Davis achieved the fastest known time for completing the Appalachian Trail and was named as National Geographic’s Adventurer of the Year. She now runs a guiding service, Blue Ridge Hiking Company, in Asheville, North Carolina.
She worked with Farm to Feet to design the Blue Ridge hiking sock, a lightweight three-quarter crew sock, knit on 200-needle machines with 19.5 micron US merino wool. It features Farm to Feet’s 3D-Active Knit technology, which creates complex multi-dimensional patterns and provide high levels of ventilation and cushioning while minimising bulk and weight.
