RYU celebrates first US store opening

Canadian athletic apparel brand Respect Your Universe (RYU) has officially opened its first retail store in the US.

The new store, in Venice, California, had its grand opening on August 2. The brand expects it to be the first of many in the US, with work already underway for a location in Brooklyn, New York. 

“We are beyond excited to announce the opening of our first retail store in the United States,” said Marcello Leone, RYU chief executive. “This is an exciting day for RYU as Abbot Kinney Boulevard is one of the top streets worldwide, known for retail and for lifestyle, and it’s one of those places that define modern brands. It is the perfect place for RYU to be as it’s a vibrant, athletically-minded community.”
