Sustainable trade organisation Amorfi hosted a roundtable event in Brussels on September 6 to discuss rules of origin and to ask if those in place at the moment are suited to global trade and the supply chains of the twenty-first century.

Rules of origin can be complicated and the requirements can differ depending on which trade agreement exporters and importers are working to.

Representatives of the European institutions, governments and trade associations, as well as retail and wholesale companies, were all present at the event.
