Cordura helps Carhartt WIP apply military touch to new shoe
Workwear brand Carhartt WIP (Work In Progress) has said its use of robust fabric from Cordura in the upper has helped it translate a penchant for using military fabric in its apparel into a new version of a canvas shoe.

Carhartt WIP and Converse combined to make the Converse One Star some time ago; the brand has now launched a new version called Converse X Carhartt WIP, which, it says, “fuses utilitarian military inspiration with contemporary design”.

Global brand director, Wilfried Atzert, said at the time of the launch that Carhartt WIP’s aim was to incorporate the military fabrics element of the brand’s DNA into the shoe with “a clean, modern approach”. He said the shoe’s use of robust Cordura fabric had helped achieve this goal.
