National ski teams sign up for new baselayer collection

Technical skiwear brand UYN, part of Italian textile group Trerè Innovation, has scored quick success with a new baselayer collection called Natyon.

Developed using a proprietary yarn called Natex, a 100% vegetable-based nylon, the collection consists of baselayer pants and shirts that offer what the company has described as enough compression to pump extra oxygen to an athlete’s muscles, while allowing “maximum freedom of movement and an ideal posture”.

Natex, Trerè Innovation has said, makes these garments 25% lighter in weight than similar products and allows them to dry up to two times faster.

Eight top European national ski teams have already signed up to provide their athletes with the Natyon baselayers. These teams represent Russia, Slovenia, Germany, France, Slovakia, Italy, Norway and Austria.
