Sporting goods manufacturers and retailers to work more closely together

19/10/2018
The Federation of the European Sporting Goods Industry (FESI) and the European Federation of Sporting Goods Retail Associations (FEDAS) have signed a cooperation agreement to create together “new operational and political cooperation schemes”.

This marks a new step in the collaboration between the two associations and will, they have said, “bring mutual benefits to members, as well as strengthen the representativeness of the sporting goods sector in Europe”.

FESI and FEDAS are long-standing partners but they will now seek to create a long-term framework agreement based on a number of policy areas. Among these are digital, health, physical activity, and intellectual property.

At the time of the announcement, FESI president, Frank Dassler, said: “Our industry is facing many exciting opportunities and tough challenges. Therefore, more than ever, it is crucial for our sector to unite and speak with one voice.”
