BASF targets carbon-neutral growth

20/11/2018
Chemicals manufacturer BASF unveiled a new strategy for growth at a presentation in Ludwigshafen on November 20.

It said it will concentrate on organic, carbon-neutral business growth and, by 2025, will aim to achieve €22 billion of its total revenues from “accelerator” products, which is to say “products that make a substantial sustainability contribution in the value chain”.

As of January 1, 2019, BASF will have six segments, each containing two operating divisions, with the exception of agricultural solutions which will continue to comprise one division. The materials segment will have operating divisions called performance materials and monomers.
