Chinese promise for Sled Dogs

Co-founder Tommy Einar Gydar Syversen has told WSA that, owing to ease-of-use and safety, the snowskate is an ideal product for introducing people to the slopes for the first time. “After only a couple of hours, you can be as good on the slopes with our product as you would be after two days when learning to ski. People don’t believe me when I tell them that, but as soon as they try Sled Dogs they see that it’s true.”
Moves to encourage Chinese citizens to become more active and especially, with the country’s capital preparing to host the Winter Olympics in 2022, to participate in winter sports, will make ISPO Beijing an exciting event for Sled Dogs, which is a Norwegian brand with manufacturing facilities in Hungary.
In fact, Mr Gydar Syversen has already travelled to China to demonstrate the product. After the display at a popular winter sports area in Harbin in December, government officials have been in touch to ask Sled Dogs to repeat the exercise for a wider Chinese public.
He told WSA that snowskates can share the slopes with ski and snowboard enthusiasts without any difficulty. “We don’t take up much space,” he said, “and I am sure plenty of people who start off on snowskates will go on to learn to ski or snowboard. We are not in competition with the ski industry; Sled Dogs is just another way to enjoy the mountains.”
