Vietnam earned $35 billion from textile exports in 2018

National textile and apprel industry association Vinatex has said its member companies earned export revenues of more than $35 billion in 2018, an increase of 16% compared to the previous year.

Vinatex director general, Cao Huu Hieu, said on releasing the figures that the organisation expects strong growth again this year, but at a level closer to 9%. He explained that the ongoing trade tensions between China and the US could have a negative effect on economies in many parts of the world.
