Australian woolgrowers welcome northern hemisphere cold snap

Australian Wool Innovation (AWI), the research, development and marketing body of the Australian wool industry, has said woolgrowers in Australia have taken some comfort, in the middle of their drought-affected summer, from the harsh winter weather that is affecting many parts of Europe and North America.

In a market intelligence report it published on January 31, AWI said: “Having cold weather and marketing campaigns that drive consumers to buy wool from retailers drives demand all the way back to the sale room. Retailers need designers, who need manufacturers, who need exporters who need woolgrowers.”
