Inside the shoe is Sheehan’s focus in education campaign
07/02/2019
“We have been working co-operatively with the leading insole manufacturers and with aftermarket footbed companies such as Protalus, Tread Labs, and Orthera to make the most technically advanced products for consumers,” said chief executive, Donna Sheehan, on announcing the programme. “In the process, we realised that our customers know how important their products are to foot health and, ultimately, to performance but that doesn’t necessarily get translated to their customers. This is a small step to help educate consumers at their retail point of contact.” She added that developing specific materials jointly with customers is one of the possible outcomes of the programme.
Central to the message is that there are foot health issues that Sheehan’s ETC material can help solve because it reduces friction, moisture and microbial build-up. Other aspects that ‘Where the Foot Meets the Shoe’ will touch on include the importance of fit, how functional materials perform in the footbed and how to increase the life of a shoe.
The programme will launch in the second quarter of 2019.
