CEC launches Science-Led Shoe project

An inaugural meeting of a project aimed at increasing the comfort and sustainability of shoes took place in Iasi, Romania, on February 20 and 21.

This project is part of the European Commission’s Erasmus+ programme for education and training and has as its main objective the development of new skills in Europe’s footwear manufacturing companies. These new skills should help companies in Europe design what the footwear industry’s representative body in the European Union, CEC, has called “drastically improved comfort” in shoes.

It has called the project Science-Led Shoe.
