Two Indian textile events to combine

Messe Frankfurt India and MEX Exhibitions, organisers of two textile industry exhibitions, Texprocess India and Gartex India, have agreed to work together and combine the two events into one.

The unified Gartex Texprocess India will take place for the first time at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, from August 10-12.

In a joint statement, the companies expressed their optimism about the Indian textile industry. They said India has the second-largest textile manufacturing capacity globally with a textile machinery sector that is growing at 8%-10% annually. 

They added that India is the world’s second-largest exporter of textiles and clothing, with export revenues from this sector projected to reach $300 billion by 2024.
