Brazilian company Somos Numa has launched a limited-edition athletic shoe made from recycled cotton, recycled PET and recycled rubber, with the aim of supporting a not-for-profit organisation in São Paulo.

Sales of the shoes will allow Somos Numa to help an organisation called Luz do Amanhã (Light For Tomorrow), which supports cancer sufferers in a special, practical way.

Children from poor backgrounds come from all parts of Brazil to receive specialist cancer treatment in São Paulo, the country’s biggest city. Luz do Amanhã helps those children by providing family members with accommodation during their stay in the city to accompany children to appointments or during treatment.
