Personal touch earns Texprocess innovation award for Lectra

Lectra has won an innovation award at Texprocess 2019. It picked up the prize in the new process category at the awards, which were presented in Frankfurt on May 14, the opening day of the Texprocess exhibition.

A panel of judges selected Lectra for the award for its Fashion On Demand system, which automates the personalisation process for garments, from order reception and product development to the final cutting stages.

Fashion on Demand is the result of a four-year research-and-development process at Lectra, based on Industry 4.0 principles.

“We are very proud to receive this prestigious award at Texprocess,” said Holger Max-Lang, Lectra president for northern and eastern Europe and the Middle East. “Fashion On Demand allows companies to produce personalised clothing at the same speed as ready-to-wear and avoid overstocking by producing in precise quantities.”
