CanopyStyle initiative is “logical next step” for Kelheim Fibres

Viscose fibre manufacturer Kelheim Fibres is to join the CanopyStyle initiative, which works to make sure no wood from ancient and endangered forests is used in the production of viscose fibres.

Kelheim made the announcement at a brand summit that CanopyStyle ran in Shanghai at the start of June.

It said it is able to join the initiative because it is able to show that the provenance of the wood pulp it uses is sustainable forests with either FSC or PEFC certification. Joining the CanopyStyle initiative is “a logical next step”, the company said.
