Desma to build a factory of the future

It will build a new production site covering 12,000 square-metres, plus 4,500 square-metres of office space. Desma has said it aims to have the project complete by autumn 2020.
The company has said it wants to create a “factory of the future”, adding that the new building will also house a showroom and an innovation centre. Managing director Klaus Freese said at a groundbreaking ceremony for the project that Desma’s existing factory buildings have reached their limits in terms of space and capacity.
Desma managing director, Klaus Freese, chief executive of parent group Salzgitter AG, Professor Heinz Jörg Fuhrmann, their construction partners and regional and local government representatives all took part in the ceremony.
