Filidea makes German acquisition

Biella-based yarn producer Filidea has announced the acquisition of German company Hoftex CoreTech.

Hoftex CoreTech specialises in technical yarns that go into specialist fabrics for a number of application areas, including protective clothing. The companies expect to complete the deal on September 1.

Filidea said it had made the move to expand its international presence and consolidate its position as a producer of technical yarns.
